The Nurse Call Online Infrared Out-of-Bed Detector provides the ultimate in early detection of residents attempting to exit the bed. Utilising infrared horizontal beam technology, the unit is triggered when movement is detected within its narrow beam. This occurs when the resident sits up to get out of bed, thus alerting nursing staff. This allows staff to quickly respond to the resident in assisting them to exit the bed safely. The detector comes with its own remote control key, allowing staff to turn off the detector when they enter the room, eliminating false triggering. There are 2 visual indicators on the Out-of-Bed Detector unit. The LED on the top of the unit indicates the units status (ie. on or off) and an indicator on the front screen illuminates when the sensor detects movement.
